Cybersecurity & IT Support for Businesses Across NY & PA

REMOTE IT SERVICES

Remote IT Support Built Around What You Need

You should not have to choose between handling IT alone and outsourcing your entire technology environment.

Remote IT gives your business ongoing helpdesk access, a cybersecurity foundation, and clearly defined remote IT management based on the responsibilities you need us to handle.

Who It’s For

Remote IT Can Work With or Without an Internal IT Team

Every business needs a different level of IT support. Remote IT is designed for organizations that want dependable ongoing help without automatically handing over every technology responsibility.

No Internal IT Team?

Give your employees a clear place to go when technology gets in the way of their work.

Micro Solutions can provide helpdesk support and manage the day-to-day IT responsibilities included in your agreement, without requiring your business to move into a full managed IT relationship.

Already Have Internal IT?

Your IT team does not have to carry everything alone.

Remote IT can work as a co-managed relationship, with Micro Solutions taking selected responsibilities while your internal team keeps control of the areas it wants to manage.

Most of Your Support Can Be Handled Remotely

You need dependable IT help, but regular onsite service is not a major part of your day-to-day needs.

You Need More Than Break-Fix Support

You want an ongoing support relationship instead of figuring out who to call every time something goes wrong.

You Want Defined Coverage

You need help with specific IT responsibilities without purchasing broader management than your business needs.

What You Get

Clear IT Support With Clearly Defined Responsibilities

Flexible IT support only works when everyone knows who is responsible for what.

Every Remote IT relationship starts with a defined scope, so your team knows what Micro Solutions will handle and what stays with you from the beginning.

Helpdesk Support

Approved users have access to the Micro Solutions helpdesk for technology issues covered by your agreement.

That gives employees a clear support path instead of leaving them to figure out who should handle each problem.

A Cybersecurity Foundation

Remote IT includes a cybersecurity toolkit based on your service configuration, helping keep day-to-day security responsibilities connected to the technology they protect.

For a deeper look at our approach, learn more about how Micro Solutions manages cybersecurity.

Remote IT Management

Micro Solutions manages the day-to-day infrastructure, configuration, and technology responsibilities assigned to our team.

Your business gets ongoing management where it needs help without automatically outsourcing every part of IT.

Depending on your agreed scope, additional services can include email security, Microsoft 365 administration, backup management, and other remote IT responsibilities.

Remote IT vs. TotalCare

Clear Responsibilities

Everyone Should Know Who Handles What

During onboarding, we create a responsibility matrix that defines what Micro Solutions manages, what stays with your team, and where we work together. That gives everyone a shared understanding of ownership before ongoing support begins.

MS

Micro Solutions Handles

The IT responsibilities assigned to our team as part of your Remote IT agreement. We know what we own and what your team expects us to manage.

YOU

Your Team Handles

The responsibilities you or your internal IT team choose to keep. Bringing in Micro Solutions does not mean giving up control of the areas you want to continue managing.

+

Shared or Coordinated

Areas where both teams have a role. The responsibility matrix helps define how we work together so important tasks do not get lost between teams.

How the responsibility matrix is established
1
Identify the Responsibilities
2
Assign Ownership
3
Document the Agreed Scope

The goal is simple: when something needs attention, everyone knows who is responsible for moving it forward.

Compare Your Options

How Much IT Responsibility Do You Want Us to Take?

Remote IT and TotalCare are not simply two price levels of the same service.

They are designed for businesses that need different levels of IT ownership.

Remote IT: Targeted IT Coverage
Remote IT may be the better fit when you:

TotalCare: Broader IT Ownership
TotalCare may be the better fit when you:

Primarily need remote support
Depend heavily on technology throughout the business
Want dependable helpdesk access
Have greater onsite infrastructure needs
Need specific IT responsibilities handled
Want proactive management across more of the environment
Already have internal IT or want to keep some responsibilities in-house
Want Micro Solutions to take broader responsibility for IT
Do not need Micro Solutions to broadly manage the complete environment
Need more ongoing technology guidance and planning
Do not require regular direct onsite support
Require more regular onsite involvement

Remote IT gives you targeted coverage. TotalCare gives Micro Solutions broader ownership.

Neither model is automatically better. The right choice depends on how much responsibility your business needs an outside IT team to take.

How It Works

Getting Started With Remote IT

You do not need to know exactly how your support agreement should be structured before talking with us. We help define that with you.

1

Define the Support Scope

We review your users, technology environment, internal resources, and day-to-day support needs.

Then we determine what Micro Solutions should handle and what should remain with your team.

2

Set Up Remote Support

We document the systems relevant to our scope, establish approved support contacts, configure remote access, and deploy the tools included in your agreement.

3

Support and Adjust

Micro Solutions begins handling helpdesk requests and the IT responsibilities assigned to us.

As your business changes, the scope can change too. If you eventually need broader IT ownership, we can also evaluate whether TotalCare makes more sense.

Clear From the Start

Know What Is Covered Before Support Begins

Remote IT is built around a clearly defined agreement.

You should know how support works, what Micro Solutions is responsible for, and where the boundaries are before the relationship begins.

Helpdesk Hours

Standard helpdesk hours are 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

After-hours support may be available upon request.

Approved Support Contacts

Your agreement defines who can contact the helpdesk.

That may include selected contacts or your broader employee base depending on how the service is structured.

Nationwide Remote Support

Because Remote IT is designed around remote delivery, Micro Solutions can support businesses throughout the United States.

Onsite Help When It Is Needed

Remote IT is primarily a remote service, but that does not mean onsite help is impossible.

When onsite assistance is needed, Micro Solutions can discuss the appropriate option based on your location and situation. In areas we cannot reach directly, third-party resources may be coordinated.

Flat-Rate, Defined Scope

Remote IT is a recurring flat-rate service based on the responsibilities included in your agreement.

Work outside that agreed scope is discussed and billed separately.

If your business consistently needs broader proactive management, greater advisory involvement, or regular onsite support, TotalCare managed IT may be the better fit.

Client Experience

Remote IT in the Real World

The best way to understand a support relationship is to hear from a business already using it.

Comprehensive Support & Peace of Mind

“Micro Solutions TotalCare computer support program has proven to be very thorough and comprehensive. Our dedicated vCIO has provided us with high level technology planning, systems replacement scheduling, software vendor cohesiveness and an overall technology system that is much more efficient. The response time to questions by staff has been excellent and having proactive support of our systems gives us ‘peace of mind’ that Museum operations will continue without interruption.

If you do not have a dedicated IT group and have never been exposed to this level of service before, you may not know what you are missing out on until you have a qualified IT professional to evaluate your business and determine your needs. I recommend contacting Micro Solutions.”
